Before I became myself, before I became a quarter of The Wow Kafe, I was a guitarist called Tripping Elefant in a band called Meth O.D. who had a rather "mixed" career now commemorated with a semi-accurate entry in Martin C.Strong's The Great Scots Musicography (Mercat Press). Meth O.D. was a vehicle for the now underused talents of Rob Smith who used to be in The Golden Dawn with my fellow Felicite artiste Ulric Kennedy on the legendary Sarah label. I used to say Rob & I collaborate on & off in a venture called RobRoy but not anymore. He did, however, contribute to the writing of the a-side of my single, Maximum Smile and all three songs on my Fermez La Bouche maxi-single plus quite a few tracks on my debut album Speak When I'm Spoken To.
